Shipping Market Analyst

Marsoft, Inc., a leading international maritime consulting firm based in Boston, MA seeks an experienced market analyst/consultant with a strong background in either the oil market or shipping markets.

We are looking for an outstanding individual who can take on significant research and consulting responsibilities. These responsibilities will include carefully monitoring developments in either the tanker or dry bulk market, writing market reports, making presentations to clients, and maintaining econometric models.

This is an opportunity for someone who can identify key issues and make informed judgments about potential future developments, while challenging assumptions where appropriate. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have excellent writing and communication skills, and be able to meet deadlines. A degree in Economics is a plus, and proficiency with statistics and econometric modeling, as well as with Microsoft Office, is also important.
